Multiple Emmy Award winning Television News Photographer Ace Zaken has been working in the broadcast industry for over 40 years.
The City University graduate built and designed WKRB Kingsborough College radio station. He then went to Channel 25 NYC Board of Education TV, where he gained the experience to land a full time job as a broadcast engineer at WPIX, and has been a loyal employee since. In those years, Ace has learned and mastered every technical behind the scenes position, but his true passion is shooting breaking news stories as it is an adrenaline rush for him.
As founder of Red Muffin Productions, Ace and his wife Damary, who edits, turn out high quality shows. When Ace is not shooting he is running. He has completed 16 marathons and over 60 halfs.

Video Editor Damary Vargas-Zaken has run the gamut from on stage performer at the Harold Clurman Theatre to behind the scenes production at local NYC broadcast stations. The NYC Performing Arts graduate went on to study journalism at NYU. While attending she interned with ABC’s Public Affairs program Like It Is” with Gil Noble. There she attained her first production assistant job and began her career in broadcasting.
Damary has edited news stories for virtually every broadcast television station in NYC as well as long format programming for Spanish language television.
